25. – 26.06.2012 Best of the Alps Oldtimer Rally –
Stage Lech Zürs am Arlberg at the place Rüfiplatz Lech

This year is Lech am Arlberg a part of the “Best of the Alps Oldtimer
Rally”. On Monday at 05:30pm the finish line takes place at the Rüfiplatz
Lech. They start their way to the Silvretta Area on Tuesday at 9.00pm
and pass Lech am Arlberg in the afternoon again while they drive to
Garmisch. 35 high-caliber classic cars like a Ferrari Daytona, a Austin-
Healy are part of it!

If just the snow-capped mountain peaks reminds us at the wonderful
wintertime and the landscape of Lech am Arlberg is in prospering – it´s
the time for our Old-timer friends. We will start our summer season with
the 3rd “Arlberg Classic Car Rally”- a historic rally with a special charm in

Real folk music of the highest caliber will be provided by Alpenbrass Tirol,
a group that has adopted the goal of bringing Bohemian, Czech and
traditional marches, modern pieces and even their own compositions to
audiences in the finest possible way. The Lech’s traditional band will give
the village festival a fitting opening. Various Lech businesses will offer
food and drinks.

We celebrate the great jubilee in the marquee at the fish pond in Zug.
On Friday at 07.00pm the brass band Lech will start the opening and the
Hattinger Buam will care for mood and dancing until late nigth. On
Saturday you can taste finest delicacies fish specialties from 07.00 p.m.
and the Blecherlich'n from Tyrol will provide mood and dance. From
09.00 p.m. are party time with the Riedberg Quintet. Sunday begins with
a solemn Mass at 11:00 a.m. with musical accompaniment by the
traditional band Lech. The music program for the afternoon will build the
chapel music harmony Dalaas.

Music, singing and laughter will fill the cosy parlours in and around Lech.
With their melodies, the folk musicians, singers and dancers will
transform the whole of Lech into a unique, giant concert stage. Music is
played in cabins, rustic meadows and in friendly restaurants. Local
homestyle meals will be served to complement the traditional music. In
the evening, the groups will meet for a joint concert and dance in the
Postgarage Lech.

A special challenge for top athletes and ambitious hobby runners! The
21.7 kilometre route mostly leads along hiking trails, past the majestic
peaks of the Karhorn, Omeshorn and Mohnenfluh. Participants have to
conquer around 1,000 vertical metres. Everyone who likes things a little
more comfortable and would like to enjoy nature even more can register
for the Fitness Run.

“From Lake Constance to Arlberg” is the header under which this
legendary triathlon event is returning in 2012. Now the Trans Vorarlberg
Triathlon has been reinstated on 26 August 2012 – and it provides a
special challenge. Once again it starts in Bregenz, but the finish point is
different. This time, after hours of exertion, all finishers will be cheered
home in Lech am Arlberg.

A conference about philosophical reflection, cultural discussion and social
science does not need to be either dry or complicated. The Lech
Philosophicum is a cultural symposium set in high Alpine scenery and
central questions concerning today’s world from various perspectives
have been discussed here now for 15 years. (Only in German language )

The 1st Karlsruhe Football School is offering this training camp for the 9th
time, led by ex-Bundesliga trainer Lothar Strehlau. In this camp, particular
attention is paid to the systematic training of techniques and tactics as
well as discipline and organization combined with plenty of fun. Boys and
girls between the ages of 6 and 17 who enjoy football can join, it doesn’t
matter if they belong to a club or are hobby players. Training takes place
according to age as well as the relevant level of skill.
